If you're looking for advice from healthcare and wellbeing professionals who will support you to IMPROVE yourself and build upon the skills and qualities you already have, stop right there…. – East Kennet PCN have just the thing for you. Over the next five months, we will produce blogs and guides with tips and bitesize information on supporting your overall wellbeing. Each blog will have an achievable SMART goal that you set and challenge yourself. The purpose of these blogs is to inspire you and support you, not to overwhelm you. And the best part about it… if you are struggling, you can always contact the EKPCN wellbeing team to support you throughout the process.
Have I got your attention? Well, here's a sneak peek of the subjects that will be covered in the series.
1) Sobriety and getting back on track – January we will be covering tips and advice for getting back on track after 'falling off the wagon over Christmas' and getting back on track with sobriety, quitting nicotine and healthy eating.
2) Being kind to yourself- February will support in how to practice the lost skill of being kind to yourself, it will cover tips and journal prompts from the wellbeing team and professionals on how to stop negative self-talk and start being kinder to yourself and improve your overall mindset.
3) Setting boundaries – In March we will go over the advice and techniques on setting health boundaries in all aspects of your life, including work, family and yourself. In an age where we are accessible 24 hours a day via mobile phones a social media – learn how to protect your mental space.
4) Is it a mental health dip, or is it depression/ anxiety? Information and advice on how to notice if it's more than just a bad day and the continuum of mental health. April will support you in reflection on your mental health state and information on when to reach out for further support
5) Starting your health and fitness journey – In May it will be getting warming and getting those steps in on a springtime morning walk will be much more appealing than a wet and windy January slog. EKPCN’s health coach will give you tips on how to make small and achievable changes to improve your lifestyle
